Adéle, the designer of Vodabox, started the whole concept in august 2000 by delivering small custom made clothing quantities to shops in Sweden. As a result of the great response from customers, Adéle and her sister Noémi (the designer of Nubia) decided to open their own shop in Malmoe by 2001. At the same time Nubia as a separate brand was born.

After managing the shop for a couple of years, by 2003, they sought new challenges and stretched out to embrace a wider clientele exhibiting at a popular London trade show for alternative fashion. This was a big step forward for their business and also a great development in inspiring customer relations.
By autumn 2007 the shop closed to concentrate focus on the creation and production of new designs.
